2023 at a glance:

There was steady growth in the Barrie condo market during the first half of 2023. After the interest rates increased multiple times, the market peaked in June and the economy responded by slowing and prices adjusted downward.

After a very slow July and August, the market picked up a bit in the final quarter of 2023 and Barrie finished off the year pretty much in the same place as it started. This was just below where the market was at the end of 2022.

The 2023 trend in the second half of the year was very similar to what the Barrie condo market experienced in the final two quarters of 2022. The first quarter of 2023 followed a similar path to what Barrie experienced within the first few months of 2021.

It is interesting to look back on the past 5 years to see what the Barrie condo market experienced.
